i'm going to keep this short and mull it over and post more in the am after i've chewed it up and digested it overnight
section 1: great day today - loved the lecture & time to work on our projects. the blogging thing is completely new - i feel so stupid yet energized and excited to learn more about it. found the info on presentations beneficial. looking forward to more of it tomorrow!
section 2: know and have seen the site before. not a fan. i much preferred your article and link... though the RIFD information horrifies me. i agree that digital citizenship needs to be more that the token way it's taught currently... at least at my school. kids have no idea of how powerful a tool (or tools) they have right in their back pocket. it's like you said re: the car - it's become a weapon in the wrong hands.
section 3: preaching to the choir here. i'm already on this train and hopefully heading toward the sunset...
