reflection 4

I have felt inadequate all week with my technology skills.  Truly I couldn't even get the blog posting right for the first two days of this course.  As this week comes to a close and I look back at the skills I have developed from this experience I feel excited about it.  Baby steps probably for many of my peers but for me it's big business!  This won't be a stopping place for me but one to jump off from.

I again appreciated the collaboration with colleagues today.  Seemed nice to bounce ideas around outside in the sunshine and get some perspective.  Feeling much clearer about what choice to make for my project.  It took looking back this morning at my learning plan goals from the Profile Seminar.  Goal number one was increasing my knowledge and efficiency when using the smartboard for instruction for my students.  Seems like I have discovered the a great technology tool to do that with Diigo.

This weeks work has made me think about many things I didn't even know were there to think about.  I am looking forward to using Google Docs, Blogs, following people on twitter, building a classroom webpage, and using Diigo to organize my useful links.

  1. Betsy, everything I know about tech is self taught. This also poses challenges for me, but I do know that there is very little you can do that you can not go back and fix. I learn by messing around when I have time. My kids are my biggest help. I watch what they are doing, they laugh at my attempt and then I practice some more. All in good time!!

  2. I believe that we are all beginning this marathon together. We are all stretching ourselves. I think that is the point of the SNHU program. :)
