Reflection #4

So today started off with the larger challenge of learning to be an SNHU student.  I was made aware today that I have huge challenges ahead of me.  Filling out all these teacher surveys and the other things related to obtaining this degree seems a bit daunting at this time.  The bright side for me is it will help me with re-certification this year.

I loved that Adam threw in some humor today with the dog video.  I actually like to do that with my students also.  Who doesn’t love funny animal videos?  It always seems to ease stress.  I am grateful Youtube is not blocked at our school.

SAMR- It is good to think about how one is using technology with students.  It always boils down to the fact that technology tools are no substitution for good instruction.  This model will allow me to check myself in how I am having students use technology in their work.  I am hopeful this new year,  I will cover the SAMR model in my teaching.

I enjoyed the talk and walk with my partners today.  It is always good to get out of the room to refresh the senses and hear what others are thinking.  Getting some encouragement and validation from a fellow classmate helps me feel I am on the right track.

Work session in the classroom are great.  It is comforting to know that you have help nearby if unexpected questions arise.  I am looking forward to hearing about everyone’s work tomorrow.  It has been a great thought provoking week!
