I left today feeling like I have learned a lot (yes, I questioned that Mon, Tues, and Wed.
after class). I guess I have a lag time
for processing. Like how many different
uses a blog can take. I had my preconceived notion that a blog was just someone ranting or a teen keeping an online diary. After all the exploration I see how it can be a digital portfolio, a journal that might be refreshingly interesting for students to write, or it could be a tool for teachers to share.
What really seemed
to tip the scale to being applicable for me in the classroom was the SAMR
charts. It felt like all the ideas that
kept flying by me on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday now I could start fitting
them into the puzzle that makes up daily classroom life.
I got excited about the projects when we walked and
talked! I can’t wait to hear all the
different things people are going to talk about.
