I really enjoyed the discussion of the SAMR model. It made me really evaluate what is a transformation
and what is an enhancement. Either way I
can think of many new things I will use technology for this coming school
year. I think we sometimes just get
stuck in our routines and practices that we don’t think “outside of the box”. Our table has had some great discussion about
just the use of our smart phones and the different capabilities it has that we
use in our everyday personal lives but not in our classroom. It is an amazing tool.
I really enjoyed the walk and talk. It was a beautiful day for a walk and it was
a different approach to our peer sharing.
It was also refreshing in two ways.
In one way it was nice to hear we shared many of the same concern. It
was also refreshing to get some fresh air and clear my brain.
As for tomorrow’s presentations I am feeling nervous and
calm at the same time. I am happy with
the work I did this afternoon but I also worry as to what the expectation is in
regards to what others will do. I feel
successful with my work thus far but worry about whether I will be able to
present it to others in a way to convey that success. Will you all be as happy for me as I am for myself
sort of thing.
This work is for you! If you are happy with what you have accomplished there is no point in comparing how anyone else will feel about it. I find what is valuable to me may be less valuable to someone else. Understanding and appreciating that everyone's weaknesses and strength help guide each of us to where we hope to be when we are done.
