Halfway to Friday

Today's class style brought new people literally to the table, which offered new and differing perspectives, which always adds to the discussion. I just wish we were able to add more fans too. J It also helps to lighten load, with all of the reflecting that we are trying to squeeze into a week. I feel like I personally made a lot of progress in my ability to use Google and its apps. I know I will definitely be using that at school more next year. I was planning on attempting to blog with students next year, but realized our school won’t allow access to Blogger, so I think I’ll move to a class GoogleDoc or Google Presentation since I know the school server will support those to make sure that kids can get work done at school. Definitely active, productive work from today that I know I can use, which is great.

For my soup challenge, I looked into RSS readers and applied for one and downloaded another so I can try to add subscriptions to them to see how they work for me. So far, one subscription added. This seems like a really similar tool to following people on Twitter so far, but maybe I’m not quite getting it. I feel like the little bit I did in class with the bookmarking site might be more beneficial, but I will give it more time to sort out. I think I am so used to going to sites and reading through things that I need time to adjust to this new way of approaching information.

I was also glad to get such nice compliments on the cookies. J It was so nice to hear.
