Reflection 1

I liked Dan's style and presentation. The excitement I now have aka perplexity after viewing is about social bookmarking and rss readers. These are two things that I never knew existed. I jotted some notes down throughout the video.

Two lines that stand out to me are:
1. keepvid ⭐️⭐️love it! Wish I knew about it years ago.
and
2. call google?!?!? What?!?

I am inspired by the thought of an edtech mission statement and feel bummed that I don't have one.

The perplexity fairy made me smile. Although I have never thought of this constant consideration as being a fairy, I do feel that I am viewing everything I come across with a "teaching eye." I'm always thinking how I could use something or how great of a tool this would be or how much a particular student would enjoy x,y or z.

After day 1 I feel overwhelmed yet excited by the plethora of technology tools at my fingertips.
I have an educator roommate and we have already begun discussing the topic of technology. Although a little overwhelmed, the wheels are spinning.

  2. There is also a quick way to save videos from youtube...add "ss" in front of youtube (for example...www.ssyoutube.com/whatever).

  3. I want a edtech mission statement! Simple but effective/manageable at this point in time.
